Calling it quits?

Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger have split up. The 26-year-old F1 racing driver — who is seven years younger than his girlfriend — decided to call time on their relationship because their conflicting work schedules meant they were seeing less and less of each other.

The sportsman and Miss Scherzinger — who rose to fame as part of The Pussycat Dolls pop group — had been dating for four years. A friend said: “Yes, they’ve split. It’s a real shame because Nicole really tried to make it work. They are still very good friends and it was an amicable split, but they just decided it was impossible to keep the relationship going with such conflicting work schedules.”

The Hawaiian-born singer is part of the judging panel on X Factor USA, alongside Simon Cowell. As a result, she is based in Los Angeles, California. Hamilton, meanwhile, travels all over the world as one of the leading drivers in F1 and has a home in Switzerland.

The couple met at the European Music Awards in Munich in November 2007, before going public at the Monaco Grand Prix six months later. Miss Scherzinger, 33, was by his side as he was crowned world champion in Brazil in November 2008.

But they spent increasing amounts of time apart due to their busy careers. In July there was unconfirmed speculation the couple had become engaged. Speaking of their relationship recently, Hamilton said: “We go to the gym together quite often and she goes running with me.

“She does her own programme and I do mine and it’s pretty cool.” A spokesman for Hamilton declined to comment, while a spokesman for Miss Scherzinger was unavailable for comment.

GaGa Hepburn

Her fans watch with bated breath every time she steps out to see what outlandish and kooky outfit she has decided to wear that day.

So it’s always nice to see Lady GaGa looking relatively normal, proving that she can leave the crazy styles in the wardrobe for at least one night. The singer looked like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn as she stepped out in New York looking chic and elegant. GaGa, 25, wore a black satin dress that fitted her toned and curvy figure to perfection.

She teamed it with a matching cloak, towering black peep-toe heels and long black leather gloves. Her blonde hair — which showed off a hint of green highlights, was swept up high on top of her head and she was blinged up in diamond earrings, a matching necklace and ring.

Of course, there had to be one part of the outfit that screamed kooky and it turned out to be her large greenrimmed sunglasses. GaGa sets the mould when it comes to original fashion and one person who recognises her style is legendary actress and singer Bette Midler. Because although she slated the star for stealing her mermaid act this summer, Midler has offered GaGa first dibs on her show wardrobe, which she intends to auction.

Is that really him?

Everyone is guilty of judging a book by its cover — but now there’s a whole new meaning to the phrase. Fans of Lady GaGa will be more than familiar with her new best friend, Zombie Boy, but not in his latest video.

The tattooed model is unrecognisable in the new DermaBlend advert in which he promotes the brands concealer and make-up remover.

The Go Beyond the Cover video begins with the question: How do you judge a book? and shows Zombie Boy — real name Rick Genest — sitting on a stool with flawless skin.

The 25-year-old — who shot to fame after starring in GaGa’s music video for Born This Way — then begins to wipe a cloth across his chest, exposing his skeletal tattoos that make his body resemble a decomposing corpse. And all is revealed as he begins to wipe away the DermaBlend concealer with the brand’s make-up remover.

Genest was chosen by Gaga’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, to star alongside her in her video earlier this year and since then his career has catapulted. Genest is entirely tattooed from the waist up, but plans to extend the body art down his legs too, which to some people may be a shock but it’s undeniable that his odd love of tattoos seems to have done him a favour so far — and of course if he ever gets fed up of them all he has to do is reach for a bottle of DermaBlend.
