THE State-owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company will end its service at 9:00 tonight, two hours ahead of its time.
The bus company, which has in past elections had its vehicles stoned, is leaving the streets of the Kingston Metropolitan Region — Corporate Area, Portmore and Spanish Town — early as a precautionary measure this time, saying yesterday that it is being done “in view of potential conflicts arising from the results of the general election”.
Service is scheduled to resume early tomorrow morning.
